Happy New Year

Happy New Year to All. This Year why not start Aikido? Most people have great intentions with various New Year’s resolutions and such but usually these are forgotten about by the end of the week. By choosing to participate in this 8 week beginners course you’ll have a great opportunity to back up all those good intentions. And you might even like it! So go on and give it a go.

Takemusu Aikido Ireland Beginners Courses taught by Joseph Kennedy 2nd Dan.

This course will include a broad range of Aikido including weapons work and self defence. The focus shall however be on basics.

TAKEMUSU AIKIDO IRELAND – Spring Course 2015

6 – 8th March 2015

Sensei Simone 5th Dan our technical director will teach a 3 day course in Kilkenny and Waterford Dojo. During these three days we will cover the basics of Takemusu Aikido offering an insight into this approach.

Takemusu Aikido has a strong emphasis on weapons work in coherence with our paired and solo practices, it gives the practitioner a wide grounded understanding of Aikido by building up a solid foundation of basics. When absorbed these basic principles can open up the student to Aikido as Budo…

Training is always conducted in a serious and yet relaxed atmosphere. As such beginners are welcome as are students of other martial traditions. There will also be a social side to this course with at least one event of food and music probably in Thomastown on the Saturday night.

Friday- Waterford 7.30pm till 9
Saturday – Camphill Jerpoint 11 till 2 and 4 till 6
Sunday – Waterford Aikido 11 till 2 and 4 till 6
60 euro for weekend. 40 for a day. Concessions Available.

ONE WEEK OF TAKEMUSU AIKIDO WITH SIMONE CHIERCHINI

For this year’s Summer School, Takemusu Aikido Ireland is glad to present one week of  Takemusu Aikido in Ireland’s Sunny South East.
We will have plenty of time to cover the International Aikido Academy syllabus, including some outdoor Bukiwaza and Kokyu sessions.
There will also be a few social events during the week.
Accommodation for international students can be arranged by or with local students.

This is sure to be both an intense week of study and an opportunity to make new friends.
